Yes a Boat License is required to operate our the luxury RIB boat hire and you must be over 21 years of age.

No, you simply prepay for the hire and your good to go.

FULL DAY BOAT HIRE: Arrival time is from 8 am and the Return time is 5 pm (If you want times outside of the standard times, please contact us)

HALF DAY BOAT HIRE: Morning Hire – AM arrival time is from 8 am and PM Return is 12 noon or
Afternoon Hire – PM Arrival time is from 1 pm and PM Return is 5 pm (If you want times outside of the standard times, please contact us)

Yes insurance is provided. Note: There is a $2,000 insurance excess on any insurance claim, however you can reduce the excess by 75% with an additional $89. The most common cause of potential damage (in the boat hire community) is from missing a channel marker and hitting the sand with the prop. However the LuxRib boat is equipped with a large Simrad navigation screen which clearly shows you the correct path to stay out of trouble. Also being a RIB it is a very stable boat and well protected with the inflatable tube. Plus the LuxRIB also comes equipped with a Keel guard to protect the hull if and when you beach it.

Fuel is not included. However the Luxrib is equipped with a Mercury 115hp outboard which is very fuel efficient. We give you a full tank of fuel on hand-over and then on arrival back into the marina we calculate the fuel you have used and you can pay with cash or card. The price will be the daily fuel bowsers price at Runaway Bay Mariner on the day. The Luxrib takes premium unleaded fuel.

No, the LuxRIB boat hire is only licensed for inshore use. You can freely travel anywhere on the Gold Coast Broadwater. This includes destinations such as Tipplers at South Stradbroke Island, Jumpinpin, Wave Break Island and Surfers Paradise. You can still go snorkelling, fishing and anchor at many beautiful spots.
